Multidisciplinary storytelling festival in Inverness. Contabadour celebrates the arts of spoken word combined with other disciplines (circus and music) and their roots in the cultural landscape of Centre-du-Québec.
Contabadour’s mission is to contribute to the growth, engagement, and flourishing of culture in the region through storytelling. It encourages the reappropriation of sharing stories at home and the promotion of storytelling beyond major urban centers. Contabadour also aims to foster creativity, diversity, exchange, and the blending of storytelling with other art forms, as reflected in the festival’s programming.
