Outdoor skating is one of the most accessible winter activities in Quebec: inexpensive, open to all ages, and possible almost everywhere once the cold sets in. This guide brings together 51 outdoor rinks and ice trails across the province, sorted by region, from the big refrigerated ovals of Montreal and Quebec City to the forest trails of Lanaudière and the Laurentians. Each place links to its listing, with the address, opening hours and season dates kept up to date by the operators.
Before you go: most natural rinks open according to ice conditions, often in late December, and close as soon as a thaw arrives. Check the ice status on the listing or the venue’s website the same day. To browse every rink in the directory, including indoor rinks and those in your own town, see the Skating rinks section.
